Teaching Themes as Living Stories

Service Description

Experience a short themed class, then learn where meaningful themes come from (philosophy, the seasons, the body, emotion, and community) and how to weave one through five touch points so students feel it more than they hear it. In a writing lab, you'll map your own theme and sharpen your language until it invites rather than instructs, then teach it to your peers. Going over the framework of writing story and how oral histories have changed the world. We'll also talk about bringing cultural themes into class with care, credit and respect.
